THE ROLE:

AMD is searching for a Director at the forefront of innovation, experimentation and shaping a vision for customer support. You will directly engage with businesses to navigate programs from inception to delivery.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate should display technical expertise in AI and managing complex AI projects. Leverage AI visions to drive business results. Broad knowledge of AI technology, algorithms, and tools is essential for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsibilities will encompass overseeing the delivery of project tasks, activities, milestones, and resources.
  • Outstanding teamwork skills across groups, teams, and organizations.
  • Analyze and calculate project risks, develop comprehensive risk management plans, and ease subsequent issues is essential.
  • Developing, maintaining, and managing project requirements, plans, timelines, issues, risks, and challenges
  • Supporting the business owners in driving major programs or various projects, and collaborating closely with process owners to detect and implement transformative business changes.
  • Lead the consensus needed to adopt a progressive-looking and manageable change strategy.
  • Manage large-scale programs and complex projects involving numerous stakeholders with diverse plans and business priorities will be a key aspect of your role
  • Lead large, cross-functional project teams towards timely outcomes, ensuring the integration of groundbreaking practices.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to imagine the "big picture" and interpret user feedback and company needs into actionable, forward-thinking roadmaps and strategies.
  • Setting, examining, and adjusting strategic directions based on an changing business landscape.
  • Mindset that accepts accountability for the organizational success, ensuring that every decision and action taken aligns with the business’s goals.
  • Hands-on technical position, a deep knowledge of technology, especially in AI solutions. Effective at communication and collaboration with engineering teams driving innovation.
  • Analytical expertise understanding complex situations and concepts.
  • Superb communication skills at the executive level. Experience working with outside vendors, strong project management, leadership insight, and a proven track record in managing large programs
PREFERRED ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • BS, MS or equivalent with direct experience
