Program Manager

North Point Technology is hiring a Program Manager. This role leads delivery of the largest, highest-risk, and most complex strategic enterprise programs for a global automotive and industrial manufacturing client, with a strong focus on long-term organizational improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects within a program by planning, directing, facilitating, and coordinating all related activities and resources
  • Serve as mentor, advisor, and decision-maker to project managers across the program
  • Identify, manage, and coordinate IT and business resources to build a high-performing project team
  • Prepare project plans, task plans, effort estimates, schedules, and task dependencies
  • Build and maintain customer relationships that support business goals and objectives
  • Facilitate and document charters, requirements, and program documentation through final approval
  • Facilitate the testing approach and manage integration and UAT testing
  • Resolve complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
  • Manage program issues to closure with creative resolution documented on an issues log
  • Oversee development of proposals and RFPs, and manage vendor and procurement relationships for the program
  • Develop and manage effective change management plans
  • Facilitate status meetings and report program status in a way that fosters communication
  • Track and forecast program financials for accurate accounting
  • Maintain lessons-learned documentation for use on future programs
  • Contribute to development of PMO processes, procedures, and project management standards

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 5-9 years in project/program management or related professional experience
  • Experience managing projects of at least $2M in size
  • Prior project/program management and leadership roles of increasing responsibility in a comparably sized organization
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • PMP or equivalent certification
  • PgMP certification or training
  • Experience with project management tools such as Clarity, Open Workbench, or MS Project
  • Second language relevant to assigned country or region

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated on-time, on-budget delivery of multiple large-scale implementation programs
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within a formal PM methodology
  • Full software development lifecycle experience across multiple end-to-end programs
  • Experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Strong program financial management and organizational change management experience
  • Ability to advise executive teams and communicate clearly across all levels
