Job description

22squared is seeking a Director of Product & Insights to lead the evolution of our analytics capability while helping build the next generation of data, intelligence and AI-powered products for our agency and clients.
This role sits at the intersection of analytics, technology, product and AI.
This leader will also play a critical role in our AI roadmap, identifying opportunities for AI agents, automation and intelligent workflows that move our organization beyond experimentation and into meaningful, scalable adoption. The Director will oversee the Analytics team, strengthen how we turn data into actionable business and marketing intelligence, and own the strategy and development of scalable products that improve how our teams and clients work.
The ideal candidate is equal parts analytics leader, product thinker and builder: someone who understands sophisticated measurement and data environments but is equally energized by creating products, improving workflows and defining what comes next.
What You'll Own

Product Strategy & Development

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for analytics, intelligence and technology-enabled capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to turn recurring client needs, internal processes and proprietary thinking into repeatable, scalable products.
  • Define product requirements, use cases, user experiences, success metrics and development priorities.
  • Partner with outside development partners and internal data management leadership, media and other teams to move products from concept through pilot, launch and adoption.
  • Balance custom client solutions with scalable products that can serve multiple teams and clients.
  • Establish an ongoing process for gathering user feedback and continuously improving products.

AI, Agents & Automation

  • Help define and execute the agency's strategy for AI-enabled products, agents and workflows.
  • Identify high-value opportunities for AI to improve analytics, insights, optimization, research, reporting and agency operations.
  • Design AI agents and agentic workflows that automate repetitive work while enhancing human decision-making.
  • Partner with the data management team to evaluate models, platforms and architectures for AI product development.
  • Establish frameworks for testing, measuring and scaling AI use cases.
  • Ensure AI solutions are developed with appropriate governance, data privacy, security and human oversight.
  • Help teams move from simply "using AI" to fundamentally redesigning how work gets done.

Analytics Leadership

  • Oversee and develop the Analytics department, establishing a high standard for strategic thinking, insights and client delivery.
  • Oversee analytics strategy across client accounts, including campaign measurement, audience analytics, attribution, experimentation and advanced measurement.
  • Ensure analytics moves beyond reporting to clear answers around the impact of marketing campaigns and audiences.
  • Partner with media, strategy, creative, operations and client teams to translate data into business decisions.
  • Develop an analytics offering with actionable ID-based data sets inclusive of PII.
  • Establish scalable analytics methodologies, frameworks and best practices across the agency.
  • Guide the continued evolution of our data and measurement ecosystem.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage, mentor and develop analytics talent while building future capabilities across AI and product.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to agency leadership on data, technology, analytics and AI opportunities.
  • Translate highly technical concepts into clear business opportunities for executives, clients and non-technical teams.
  • Lead cross-functional teams without requiring direct reporting relationships.
  • Help establish a culture of experimentation, product thinking and continuous innovation.
  • Support new business opportunities by demonstrating how our data, analytics, technology and AI capabilities differentiate the agency.

What We're Looking For

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience across analytics, data, marketing technology, product management or related disciplines.
  • 8+ years of experience leading analytics, data or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in digital and media analytics, measurement, attribution and marketing data ecosystems.
  • Expertise with Salesforce Tableau or modern BI platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience developing data products, analytics products or technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with modern AI capabilities, including generative AI, large language models, AI agents and workflow automation.
  • Experience translating business problems into product requirements and technical solutions.
  • Ability to operate comfortably across business strategy, analytics and technology.
  • Experience partnering with engineering, data engineering, product, media and client teams.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills.
  • A builder mentality with the ability to move between strategy and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an agency, consulting or marketing technology environment.
  • Experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Amplitude, or GA4.
  • Experience with cloud data architecture, APIs, first-party data and identity ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience developing or deploying AI agents, RAG solutions, LLM-powered applications or automated workflows.
  • Familiarity with MMM, incrementally testing, experimentation and advanced attribution.
  • Experience commercializing analytics, data or technology capabilities into client-facing products.
