Primary Purpose of the Position:

Superintendent, Plant Process (Front End) is responsible for supervising and driving plant maintenance process optimization for the functional area assigned in a 24/7 Manufacturing. They lead a process team to enhance plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Supportdevelopment, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system.
  • Establishmaintenance procedures on equipment, including planning, budgeting, execution, and periodic review.
  • Applyknowledge of functional area to conduct system and process analysis, identifies opportunities for improvement, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Participatein designing and overseeing new systems and processes that improve and enhance plant performance in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Coordinateand applymaintenance techniques directed toward monitoring and reducing maintenance and repair costs.
  • Arrangefor maintenance of adequate level of supplies, materials, and parts so that there will be no interruption in operations due to shortages.
  • Arrangefor training of employees in proper maintenance programs and procedures for plant production equipment.


What are we looking for?

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college degree level education or work-related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent educationrequired
  • Job related experience for 5 year(s) minimum
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:
    • production processes
    • product specifications and technology of equipment
    • generally accepted supervisory practices and procedures
  • Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant production, chemical process, and warehouse techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Ability to negotiate with contractors for facilities/building maintenance.
  • Works in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • Expected Hiring Salary Range:$85,900-$119,890 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
  • Onsite Work Environment:This requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
