As a Managing Director at CrossCountry Consulting, you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, team leadership, junior team member development, and business development.

What You'll Do

Client Delivery:
Lead the development and delivery of services in the following areas:

  • Finance Transformation strategy, operating model design, and process optimization
  • Technology-enabled transformation including ERP, EPM, automation, analytics, and AI solutions
  • Office of the CFO roadmap development and enterprise-wide finance modernization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, CIOs, Controllers, CAOs, and executive stakeholders on complex transformation initiatives
  • Lead large-scale transformation programs spanning R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, and management reporting
  • Facilitate executive workshops and strategic planning sessions to drive alignment and outcomes
  • Oversee delivery quality, client satisfaction, and account expansion opportunities
  • Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes
  •  Practice Leadership:
    Serve as a key leader in the Business Transformation practice by:
  • Driving strategic growth of the Finance Transformation practice through business development and market leadership
  • Originating new client opportunities and expanding executive-level relationships
  • Leading go-to-market strategies aligned to CFO priorities and market demand
  • Partnering across Accounting Advisory, Risk Advisory, Technology Enablement, and Transactions to deliver integrated solutions
  • Representing CrossCountry through thought leadership, industry events, and publications
  • Developing methodologies, accelerators, and differentiated offerings
  • Overseeing client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, timelines, fee negotiations, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases, covering strategy, goal setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan
  • Leading business development efforts and marketing a full range of services to prospective clients
  • Managing teams and people by tracking and directing performance against objectives while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation
What You'll Bring
  • 15+ years of consulting or professional services experience, including significant experience leading Technology-Enabled Finance Transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in originating and growing consulting revenue through executive-level relationships
  • Proven track record of building and expanding strategic client relationships
  • Deep expertise across Finance Transformation, including operating model design, process optimization, enterprise technology enablement, ERP/EPM advisory, data & analytics, and organizational effectiveness
  • Experience advising CFOs, CIOs, Controllers, CAOs, and finance leadership teams
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
  • Proven experience identifying new growth and shared revenue opportunities and expanding client relationships
  • Consistent success in building and developing strong client relationships
  • Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation
  • Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards A passion for mentoring and leading teams while implementing new ideas and initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel; travel varies based on client preference
For applicants located in Illinois, CrossCountry Consulting is required to include an estimate of the compensation range for this role. The following range takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, education, licenses, certifications, business needs, and internal equity. An estimate of the current range is $230,000 - $470,000 per year + annual bonus + additional benefits.
