This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. This position is full time contract work anticipated to last for the next 1-2 years, and requires the employee to be on the client's Wilmington, NC site. Overview

We are seeking aProcess Engineer IIto support manufacturing operations by improving process performance, product flow, and overall plant efficiency. This role will work with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, solve technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities
  • Support manufacturing operations through process analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, improve flow, increase capacity, and lower cost
  • Apply Lean tools such as 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, visual management, and standard work
  • Assist with process documentation, operating procedures, and standard work updates
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support line balancing, workflow, layout, staffing, and work cell improvements
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and other teams to resolve technical issues
  • Participate in projects that improve manufacturing efficiency, safety, and productivity
  • Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations clearly
  • BS or MS in the following Engineering Disciplines: Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Industrial or Ceramic Engineering or other related engineering discipline
  • 2+ years' experience inManufacturing Environment or related technical experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, production processes, and standard engineering principles
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Experience with 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, standard work, flow improvement, line balancing, or work cell design
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Analytics
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting
  • Project management experience
