Position Summary

In your role as an Equipment Technician in Test Technology you will be involved in all aspects of test, including probe card changes on the probers, probe card repair, preventive maintenance, and part repair/replacement.
You will also utilize strong computer skills to check data trends and handle various pieces of software for fab operations; and will work on probers, testers, and probe cards.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment and probe cards

  • Utilizing data analysis to qualify tool operation before returning to production

  • Creating and maintaining tool recipes

  • Collaborating with vendors and engineers to ensure equipment is performing optimally.

  • Monitoring product inventory and queue time

  • Participating in 5S activities including spare part managemen

  • Compressed Work Week (CWW) schedules, designated A, B, C, or D, work a 12-hour shift, either three or four days per week depending on the shift rotation. The CWW shift begins at 6:45 and ends at 7:15 each scheduled day. A & C shift are Days, C & D shifts are Nights.

  • Associates degree preferred (military training or similar technical training will be considered, work experience in same role will be considered)

  • Experience on TEL, Keysight, GSI Lumonics, Teradyne, and Advantest equipment

  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Safety and Quality mindset

All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor are on site.

The current base salary range for this role is between $24.00 - $33.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
