DescriptionPosition Summary:The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for strategic leadership, oversight, and daily execution of facilities management, maintenance, and life safety programs. This role ensures that all physical structures, mechanical systems, and grounds are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with healthcare regulatory standards. The Director oversees general maintenance, plant operations, and biomedical engineering, serving as a critical leader in maintaining continuous operations.RequirementsEducation:Boiler operator's license, building operator certification, or limited Registration: maintenance industrial electrical license or journeyman's card in any building trade required. High school graduate, or GED required. Two years full-time, wage-earning experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for a hospital or similar organization equivalent.Licensure/Certification/Registration:Boiler operator's license, building operator certification, or limited Registration: maintenance industrial electrical license or journeyman's card in any building trade required.Experience:Five to ten years' progressive experience in supervision and maintenance in installation and construction, as well as maintenance of equipment, utilities and building.Job Knowledge:Must have workable knowledge of H.V.A.C. systems & boiler maintenance. Must be familiar with code requirements for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
