Skills and Competencies
  • Strong analytical background with demonstrated experience building, reviewing, and evolving quantitative models in pricing, product, portfolio, or another related discipline
  • Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust across business units, listen actively, and drive outcomes through cross-functional partnerships
  • Genuine curiosity about applying Large Language Models and Generative AI to real-world problems, such as automating processes or synthesizing data to enrich pricing approaches
  • Ability to establish and uphold firm-wide pricing standards, including facilitating governance discussions and simplifying processes across a complex portfolio
  • Strong market, competitive, and technology intelligence capabilities with the ability to translate insights into actionable implications for pricing, product, and investment strategy
  • Experience supporting strategic partnerships — including cloud, data, distribution, and Generative AI — where they intersect with pricing, product integration, and scale
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands‑on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field required
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Responsibilities

The Director, Pricing Strategy leads firm-wide pricing direction, model development, and cross-business unit innovation within the Central Product Strategy team.

  • Design, build, and review pricing models, balancing tactical execution with a longer‑term view on how pricing should evolve, including AI‑enabled and usage‑based approaches
  • Establish Moody's Analytics‑wide pricing direction by challenging existing approaches using data, market intelligence, and client insight
  • Serve as a think tank on pricing, bringing new ideas and frameworks that help the business achieve its scale and growth goals
  • Partner closely with Business Units to implement new pricing approaches, improving consistency, transparency, and commercial outcomes across the portfolio
  • Establish pricing guidelines and standards across Moody's Analytics, ensuring consistent adoption, simplifying processes where needed, and facilitating relevant governance forums to maintain alignment and oversight
  • Support strategic partnerships — including cloud, data, distribution, and Generative AI — where they intersect with pricing, product integration, and commercial scale
  • Track market, competitive, and technology trends and translate them into clear implications for pricing, product, and investment decisions in collaboration with portfolio management teams

Our Central Product Strategy team sits at the intersection of all Business Units within Moody's Analytics, combining rigorous model‑building with the ability to set strategic pricing direction, challenge existing approaches, and drive commercial innovation across the organization. The team is responsible for shaping Moody's Analytics‑wide pricing standards, advancing data and partner strategy, and ensuring consistency and transparency across a complex global portfolio. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting and high‑impact work at the forefront of pricing transformation, including the development of AI‑enabled and usage‑based pricing models that help Moody's Analytics scale, grow, and stay ahead of a rapidly evolving market.

For US‑based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$163,300.00-$236,800.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full‑time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
