Position Overview

As the Director of Operations for Central Oregon, you will oversee the operational, financial, and team performance of multiple dental offices throughout the region. You will partner closely with Practice Managers, providers, and executive leadership to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and support exceptional patient care.

This role is ideal for a collaborative, strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about developing teams and improving access to care across diverse communities.

This is a field-based leadership position requiring regular travel throughout Central Oregon and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Performance

  • Lead the operational, financial, and clinical performance of all practices within the region
  • Drive office performance related to patient volume, revenue growth, profitability, and patient satisfaction
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategic initiatives to improve results
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align regional goals with organizational priorities and long-term strategy
  • Ensure operational consistency, compliance, and execution across all supported practices

Team Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop Practice Managers and regional office leaders
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Provide ongoing coaching, leadership development, and performance feedback
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives across the region
  • Create a positive and patient-centered workplace culture

Patient Care & Clinical Excellence

  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Support compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards
  • Champion initiatives that improve patient experience and access to care
  • Help advance InterDent and Capitol Dental Care’s mission of integrated, preventive oral healthcare

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-site operations leadership experience (7+ locations preferred)
  • Dental or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of operational growth and performance improvement
  • Demonstrated success leading customer service and patient experience initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Ability to analyze business trends and implement operational strategies that drive results
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the Central Oregon region (4–5 days per week in the field)
