Job description

Position TitlePhysical Security ManagerJob Description

Purpose & Scope: 

The Physical Security Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and installing or coordinating the installation or repair of physical security systems, to include but not limited to, camera/CCTV systems (networked and analog), electronic access control systems, intrusion detection systems, panic/duress alarm systems, electronic infant abduction prevention systems, and other electronic security or life-safety related systems, such as fire alarm systems. The Physical Security Manager may also be responsible for assisting in managing the daily operations of the Public Safety/Security Department. The Physical Security Manager reports to the Director of Public Safety and Parking.

Education: 

Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Experience: 

Five (5) years' Physical Security experience is required to include installing and maintaining systems/equipment.

Two (2) years' experience in project management is preferred.

Supervisory experience in Security/Public Safety is preferred.

Certification/Licensure: 

Valid Sate Driver's license is required.

Other Qualifications

Other qualifications include experience with, or certifications in, Avigilon VMS, Software House CCURE 9000, Stanley Mobileview, Omnigo Reporting Software, AXON/Taser systems, or certifications in networking and/or IT.
