About the Role
The Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and commercial excellence across the U.S. business by positioning Spirax as the preferred steam solutions provider. This role leads outside and inside sales teams, develops executive-level customer relationships, and ensures execution of a disciplined, data-driven sales process aligned to company growth objectives.
As a key part of the commercial leadership team, the Sales Director partners with operations, marketing, product management, and service teams to deliver profitable growth and strengthen market position.
This role supports key markets including Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Hospitals/Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences, and broader industrial sectors. You will shape and execute a strategic growth agenda, strengthen customer and channel relationships, and align closely with regional and global teams to accelerate growth.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategic Sales Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales organization
  • Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability
  • Build succession plans and strengthen team capability
  • Drive disciplined use of Salesforce for pipeline management and forecasting
Revenue Growth & Strategy Execution
  • Own and deliver U.S. sales targets (orders, revenue, margin)
  • Translate strategy into a clear, actionable sales plan
  • Build executive-level customer relationships
  • Strengthen channel strategy and expand market presence
  • Drive growth in underdeveloped accounts and new markets
Leadership Team Collaboration
  • Partner with Marketing and Business Development on demand generation
  • Collaborate with Operations to align demand planning and delivery
  • Work with Product Management on portfolio strategy and launches
  • Align with Service teams to support lifecycle revenue growth
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy, pricing, and capability development
What We're Looking For
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
Experience
  • 8-10 years of senior-level sales leadership experience in a technical environment
  • Experience working with channel partners, manufacturer representatives, and direct sales teams
  • EPC experience is a plus
