SUMMARY

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner) is seeking a candidate to perform field assessments, QA/QC inspections of multiple building systems, which could include Electrical, Mechanical, Fire & Life Safety, and/or Structural components to ensure expected use of life specifications.  The structure types and building equipment could include commercial, residential, and/or industrial.  Each client specific program may include protocols as outlined by the sales, program and/or leadership team. This position requires extensive travel to client project sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Regional travel to perform on-site physical building assessments.
  • Collect and document data using various resources as directed by the program needs, such electronic, web-based or manual writing.
  • Identify deficiencies, hazards, or non-compliant issues and recommend corrective/remediation actions.
  • Prepare proprietary reports summarizing findings, including specific required and named photographs and any supporting collected documentation.
  • Communicate site visit results and compliance issues to key stakeholders.
  • Understand and follow and adhere to all company safety standards.
  • Understand, follow and strictly adhere to the company travel policy including submitting timely and accurate expense reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university is preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in the field of property condition assessments is preferred
  • Experience in the MEP trades, home inspections or facilities maintenance is preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • A motor vehicle background check must show the following: No serious traffic violations (i.e., DUI, DWI); No criminal motor vehicle convictions; No moving violations that demonstrate a significant disregard for the safe operation of motor vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills are required.  The position requires the ability to communicate technical issues in written reports to clients with limited technical understanding in building systems and finishes.

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be an enthusiastic, quick learner with a strong desire to grow within the organization
  • A problem-solving disposition
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for internal and external (client) communications; technical writing skills must be exceptional
  • Must have excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to effectively complete work on projects concurrently
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
  • Proficient with standard business applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform office and job-site duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
  • Requires the ability to climb a ladder

COMPENSATION

Salary range: $55,000 to $60,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
