Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, performance tuning and recovery of our ITSecurity infrastructure, posture and supporting infrastructure. Serve as a hands-on technical expert, Sr. Architectand mentor in IT Security.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and manage the performance of a team of IT Security professionals responsible for monitoring, detecting and responding to threats.
  • Proven ability to analyze and investigate security alerts, determine the scope and impact of security events, and articulate risks, root causes, and mitigation strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform hands-on configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of security systems, which may include firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and endpoint detection and response (EDR).
  • Proven ability to lead security architecture initiatives for network security, data protection, identity and access management, and cloud computing.
  • Maintain alignment with architecture and compliance frameworks, including CIS, CCPA, HIPAA, and NYDFS.
  • Develop, document, implement and report on security architecture policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Keep up to date with cybersecurity landscape, emerging threats, evaluating and recommending new technologies
  • Document and communicate security architecture decisions and strategies effectively
  • Drive deployment of new platforms, technologies and features to meet lifecycle management and business requirements.
  • Recognized as a technical expert and a mentor to engineering teams on frameworks, tools and technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in work related field or discipline preferred. 
Work Experience
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure software development lifecycle.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of cybersecurity professionals
  • 5+ years of experience supporting implementations in a hybrid cloud environment
  • 5+ years of experience in either Systems (Windows or Linux) or Network engineering including design and management
  • 5+ years of experience with network security products including Firewalls, WAF, Proxy, NAC, VPNs and end user device security
  • 5+ years of experience with network security in a public cloud environment
  • 5+ years of experience with network hardware
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA and GSEC are a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems including but not limited to deployment, integrations and troubleshooting.
  • One or more of the following are required: Networking and/or security centric; Cloud technology; Juniper; and/or Cisco.

    The expected salary range for this position is $155,015.99  - $204,039.79. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level.Benefits
