Director of Mortgage Sales Job Description:
The Director of Mortgage Sales will manage, coach, and develop the Account Executives in their assigned territory, through selling techniques and marketing ideas.  The Director's role will incorporate an expanded level of accountability that may include sales or other functions, with a direct impact on increased production/revenue or control/risk. Proactively resolves broad sales and operational issues and coordinates activities and processes within many business/operations segments.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversees marketing initiatives by working with appropriate company channels to promote and maximize sales opportunities while ensuring compliance is followed
  • The position will support technology channels and process initiatives to improve the design of effective changes. The Director will provide subject matter expertise and solicit input/feedback from operational managers as needed
  • Effective load balancing and partnership across regions to ensure consistent service delivery and pipeline management across the national footprint
  • Monitors assigned sales goals and sales activities by analyzing and documenting trends and communicating sales "best practices" to Account Executives
  • Oversees, trains, and actively promotes the usage of the Company's sales processes by consistently using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage accounts
  • Actively seeks opportunities to stay informed on trends and developments in the real estate market, as well as changing rules and regulations pertaining to both conventional and government-insured mortgages
  • Acts as a resource to Account Executives by being knowledgeable of Company products, policies and procedures, underwriting requirements and systems utilization
  • Manages staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent commensurate experience required
  • Ten years of mortgage experience 
  • Proven track record of management and sales success
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a fun and energetic results-driven environment
