Job description

The Regional Director of Technology based out of The Peninsula New York provides strategic leadership, governance, and oversight for all technology operations across multiple properties within US operations. The role ensures standardization of technology platforms, alignment with enterprise and cybersecurity standards, and delivery of consistent, high-quality guest-facing, in-room, and operational technology experiences. This role acts as a strategic business partner to the Property Managing Director, ensuring technology drives guest experience differentiation, operational efficiency, and commercial value. 

Key Accountabilities:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Execute technology strategy aligned with business goals
  • Act as strategic advisor to operational leadership
  • Drive ROI-focused technology planning 

Technology Governance 

  • Execute governance frameworks and standards 
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cybersecurity
  • Drive consistency across all properties 

Operations Oversight

  • Oversee multi-property technology operations 
  • Ensure system stability, scalability, and resilience
  • Guide property IT leaders

Digital Transformation 

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives
  • Drive adoption of data, analytics, automation, and AI
  • Evaluate emerging technologies 

Guest Experience 

  • Ensure consistency in digital guest journey 
  • Oversee key hospitality platforms and in-room technology
  • Align guest-facing standards 

Cybersecurity & Compliance 

  • Execute cybersecurity and data privacy standards
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity 

Data & Commercial Insight

General Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related discipline 
  • Postgraduate qualification preferred 
  • 12-15 years in technology leadership roles
  • Experience in multi-property or regional environments
  • Luxury hospitality experience preferred
  • Hospitality platforms: PMS, CRS, CRM, POS, Spa Systems
  • In-room and network infrastructure, telephone
  • Use of AI/ML and intelligent automation in hospitality
  • Cybersecurity, data privacy, integrations
  • Strategic and commercial mindset
  • Leadership and influencing skills
  • Stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, change leadership
