Based in any KJ market nationwide, this senior role provides the opportunity to lead technical professionals, strengthen project delivery and client relationships, develop future leaders, and advance technical excellence across the organization while supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure solutions for communities throughout the country.ย 

What You'll Do

  • Support theย development andย adviseย KJโ€™sย Technical Services teams and discipline leadersย including Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, CAD, Architectural and Instrumentation and Controls.ย 

  • Support the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects across Kennedy Jenks.ย 

  • Promote efficient design deliveryย in accordance withย Kennedy Jenksโ€™ standards and procedures toย assureย compliance withย standard ofย care.ย 

  • Promote collaboration across engineering, environmental, scientific, and technical disciplines.ย 

  • Partner withย businessย managers,ย projectย managers, andย businessย development leaders to align resources with business needs.ย 

  • Work collaborativelyย withย Kennedy Jenksย quality andย riskย programsย toย advance technical excellence, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.ย 

  • 25%-50%ย travel nationwide to collaborate with clients and various KJ offices and teams as needed.ย ย

What You Bring

  • Education:ย Bachelorโ€™s degree in an Engineering field required; masterโ€™s degree preferred.ย 

  • Technicalย Experience:ย 10+ย years ofย designย engineering consulting experience,ย preferablyย within water/wastewater.ย ย 

  • Managementย Experience:ย 4+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors, team leaders, and project teams.ย 

  • Licensure:ย Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.ย 

Additional Qualificationsย 

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, departments, technical organizations, or business units, including the development and oversight of supervisors and other leaders.ย 

  • Experience supporting complex infrastructure, environmental, water/wastewater, industrial, or engineering consulting projects.ย 

  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner effectively across Operations, Business Development, Project Management, and Technical Services functions.ย 

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate competing priorities, make sound decisions, and drive organizational results in a fast-paced environment.ย 

  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering, project delivery, resource planning, andย financial management.ย 

  • Proven success developing employees, mentoring leaders, and building high-performing teams through both direct leadership and influence.ย 

  • Proficiencyย with Microsoft Office Suite and business management systems, along with excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.ย 

Kennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance andย utilizesย aย hybrid modelย of home and office work, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.ย 

The anticipatedย salary rangeย for this position is $170,000 โ€“ $240,000, depending on education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, and geographic location.ย ย
