Description

The Software Director leads Standard Imagingโ€™s software development organization with primary responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering software products predictably from concept through release. This role drives execution across multiple projects by aligning resources, managing priorities, removing obstacles, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver quality medical device software on schedule. It requires a handsโ€‘on technical leader who balances team leadership with direct involvement in software design, development, testing, verification, validation, and problem solving.

ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Execution
  • Lead, coach, and develop the software engineering team.
  • Set priorities and allocate engineering resources creating a culture of ownership.
  • Drive accountability for project execution and results.
  • Build a collaborative, highโ€‘performing engineering culture.
Project & Product Delivery
  • Lead projects from concept through commercial release.
  • Own planning, develop project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Track progress, risks, and project deliverables owning the execution of all projects.
  • Remove roadblocks to ensure predictable product delivery.
  • Prioritize software backlogs with Product Management.
  • Deliver software releases on time and within scope.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams especially engineering to deliver products.
  • Align software priorities with business objectives.
Quality & Regulatory
  • Ensure compliance with FDA design controls.
  • Oversee software verification, validation, and cybersecurity.
  • Improve software quality and development processes.
Strategic Leadership
  • Align software strategy with company goals.
  • Evaluate development tools and technologies.

RequirementsQualifications
