Job description


This is a hybrid position and must be located within 100 miles of the Mayo Clinic campus located in Rochester, MN for occasional on-site expectations based on business needs.
Primary focus is on either Multimedia Service Delivery or Multimedia Service Development, specific requirements below. Participates in coordination and leadership activities of the Division. Responsible for budgeting, planning, staff accountability, overall strategy, and maintaining strong relationships between the Divisions of Multimedia Production Services and Multimedia Distribution Platforms. Fosters relationships with leaders in the Department of Facilities and Support Services at all Mayo Clinic campuses as well as with strategic stakeholders throughout Mayo Clinic.
Service Delivery: Accountable and responsible for service delivery and service execution, setting high standards of service excellence. Leads service transition/support elements of a service. Coach and mentor staff to deliver service excellence. Represents Division and participates actively in institutional projects and committees. Collaborates with partner Directors, Managers, and staff to improve the quality, effectiveness, cost, and efficiency utilizing Lean and Agile methods. Plans and manages Mayo Clinic resources (project, people, facilities, money, and equipment) in an efficient manner. Develops and fosters service execution strategies and directions that support Division and Mayo Clinic goals and objectives. Provides leadership in the strategic design, selection, and application of business requirements using the principles of Agile business mindset. With Service Development Director, leads innovation efforts to proactively advance Enterprise direction and strategic plan. Service Development. Lead collaboration with business partners to translate business strategies into innovative, actionable product and platform strategies for near-term impact and long-term value. Partner proactively, translate wider organizational context into insight and action. Drive prioritization while navigating competing priorities and product literacy throughout the Enterprise. Guide product and enablement teams on business partner priorities and alignment to broader Mayo Clinic strategy. Demonstrate, and hold staff accountable, to an agile mindset. Assess business strategies and technology effectiveness to ensure alignment with performance, cost, architectural, and business requirements. Develop short and long-term plans working with strategic partners to ensure that technology portfolio components align with overall direction and Mayo Clinic requirements. Provide structure, guidance, and support for budgeting, capital, and planning for delivery of technology, and well as upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and support. Ensure that staff development and training needs are met. Foster a culture of innovation in alignment with institutional strategic goals. Employ Agile and Lean methods to accomplish Objectives and Key Results. With Service Delivery Director, leads innovation efforts to proactively advance Enterprise direction and strategic plan.
Qualifications
Master's and 8 years' professional employment experience in multiple media disciplines, which includes 4 years of prior recent media management/leadership experience; OR a bachelor's degree in video production, media communications, communication arts, photography, design, printing, or business-related field. Minimum 10 years' professional employment experience in multiple media disciplines which includes 5 years of recent, media management/leadership experience.
Professional demeanor that reflects Mayo Clinic values and beliefs. Ability to synthesize and capture the essence of complex information to discern meaning, trends, and the big picture quickly. Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and experience with multimedia industry trends and media-related solutions and technologies. Experience in consulting or advisory functions; demonstrated success in analyzing situations to methodically develop high-value strategies and plans. Demonstrated success in effective decision-making that drives progress toward ambitious goals while managing complexity, ambiguity, risk, and uncertainty. Demonstrated ability to work across multiple media disciplines, as well as business strategy, experience design, analytics, and technology. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; ability to self-direct and work well under pressure. Experience in successfully managing stakeholders in complex, matrixed, and strategic initiatives. Gifted collaborator with strong skills in negotiation and conflict management. Strong written and verbal communication skills; active listener. Ability to facilitate group/team discussions. Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and implement AI-driven solutions. Demonstrated experience integrating AI technologies into multimedia distribution workflows to improve scalability, speed, and/or quality of service delivery. Experience in defining and tracking KPIs related to automation efficiency, accuracy, and service outcomes.
