Job description

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Pennbridge Group, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

We currently own and operate nine Marriott-branded hotels across the region and are committed to operational excellence, strong leadership, and continued growth.

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Director of Revenue Management to lead revenue strategy and execution across our portfolio. This is a unique opportunity for a Marriott revenue professional who enjoys both the strategic and tactical aspects of revenue management-working directly with hotel General Managers and Sales Leaders while developing portfolio-wide strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.

This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and is an on-site role that requires close collaboration with hotel leadership and the Pennbridge executive team.

Reporting directly to Pennbridge executive leadership, the Portfolio Director of Revenue Management serves as the company's revenue expert and is responsible for maximizing the financial performance of the portfolio through strategic pricing, forecasting, inventory management, demand analysis, and distribution strategy.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute portfolio-wide revenue strategies that maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, market share, and profitability.
  • Lead the daily revenue management activities for all hotels within the portfolio.
  • Partner directly with General Managers and Sales Leaders to develop and execute hotel-specific revenue strategies.
  • Conduct weekly revenue strategy meetings and provide recommendations based on market trends, demand, pace, and competitive performance.
  • Develop accurate short-term and long-term forecasts, annual budgets, and revenue projections.
  • Analyze STR reports, market intelligence, booking pace, and business trends to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Optimize pricing, inventory controls, restrictions, distribution channels, and business mix.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to maximize group, negotiated, and transient revenue opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Support acquisitions, hotel openings, renovations, and other growth initiatives from a revenue strategy perspective.
  • Coach and support hotel leadership teams in revenue management best practices while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on Marriott revenue management tools, systems, and commercial initiatives to ensure best-in-class performance.

Job Qualifications:
  • Marriott revenue management experience is required.
  • Previous experience as a Director of Revenue Management, Area Director of Revenue Management, Area Revenue Manager, Cluster Revenue Manager, or an experienced multi-property Revenue Manager is strongly preferred.
  • Proven success developing and executing revenue strategies that improve RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, market share, and overall hotel profitability.
  • Strong working knowledge of Marriott revenue management systems, commercial strategy processes, and brand standards.
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, demand analysis, pricing strategy, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Proficiency in STR reporting and competitive market analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business strategies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence General Managers, Sales Leaders, and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple hotels and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent professional experience.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah, corporate office.
