Job description

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Director of Quality Assurance. This individual will be based at the St. Marys facility and has responsibility for the Quality organization at all three manufacturing facilities.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and preventative safety measures
  • Oversee the development of Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Evaluate process capabilities via product and process variable statistical analyses
  • Establish quality control and inspection plans for all processes
  • Determine appropriate inspection techniques for product validation (gaging, NDT, etc.)
  • Run Gage R&R and assure appropriateness for intended inspection
  • Use advanced quality planning tools, including PFMEA, DOE, APQP, etc.
  • Lead continuous improvement project using Lean methodologies
  • Communicate effectively and present to customers in a professional and compelling manner
  • Champion overall Quality Management Systems for the business 
 
Qualifications
 
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (3-5 in Quality supervision/management)
  • Application of statistics and computer knowledge (Minitab preferred)
  • Hands-on Quality experience with automotive supplier (Tier 1 preferred) or other high-volume parts manufacturer
  • Ability to train and coach department personnel and others in Quality methods and tools
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
  • Can travel up to 15%
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • GD&T knowledge preferred
 
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
