Job description

The Momofuku Group is comprised of restaurants and bakeries located in the US, Australia, and Canada, a magazine, and an equipment manufacturing company.  We are fun, exciting and fast-paced. The Director of Project Management will work alongside all new and developing restaurants and concepts to lead the project management process and ensure that progress is continuously made. The Director of Project Management will also act as the liaison and communicate any day-to-day events, deadlines, and projected opening dates to all departments. S/he will work closely with staff throughout the organization while ensuring deadlines are efficiently and consistently met.

Responsibilities include:
  • Project initiation, including requirements gathering, scope definition and project plan creation and maintenance
  • Delivery and day-to-day control of the project, overseeing and facilitating project work across a variety of teams
  • Identify, manage, and monitor project issues and risks, resolving or escalating in a timely manner
  • Gather and report project status regularly across teams and stakeholders
  • Establish project protocols and ensure project artifacts are centralized and up-to-date
  • Ensure that meetings, discussions, outcomes, and next steps are documented
  • Contribute to process improvements and project management best practices
  • Demonstrate end-to-end project management experience from initiation through launch and closure
  • Travel outside of New York required
