Job description

RCC is a full service IT firm which provides solutions for the development and support of IT infrastructure. We serve a broad range of clients, from large complex enterprises to small and mid-sized companies. 

We currently seek an after hours Project Manager with knowledge of Networking, Data Centers, and/or Infrastructure. This is a full-time salaried role and is 100% remote. Training is provided by the internal team and will take 3 - 6 months.      

DUE TO THE INTENSITY OF TRAINING, WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WILLING TO MAKE A LONG-TERM COMMITMENT. 

This resource will be managing projects and coordinating resources for "power events" for data centers globally. This work can be done remotely from your home. Hours/days vary depending on the time zone where the data center is located. Power testing tends to take place on weekends when no workers are in the office, so weekend work is essential. 

Candidate will be working with the RCC project team as well as client IT teams. The focus for this position is to manage and perform power-ups and power-downs at multiple sites and data centers worldwide.  You will oversee all aspects of your projects, setting deadlines, utilizing various client platforms, governing responsibilities, and overall client satisfaction through proper communication and service improvements.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator / Project Manager OR related technical management role. A technician operating in infrastructure technology looking to switch to a management role is encouraged to apply
  • Candidate must be willing to work nights and weekends as these are the times that projects are implemented and likely planning meetings held.
  • Experience with technology database systems.
  • MS-Excel needed
  • Some ServiceNow experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to schedule and run projects remotely
  • Coordination of Lines of Business, resources, and timelines.
  • Some networking experience / IT Infrastructure experience
  • Ability to work across several time zones and work with different cultures.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a part of a high energy team.
  • Ability to process work quickly, accurately and with changing priorities.
  • College Degree preferred
