Webber's Infrastructure Management Division is seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist to support the successful delivery of projects through standardized project controls processes, systems, and reporting. This role serves as a key partner to Operations, Finance, Project Controls, IT, and project teams by ensuring project information is accurate, timely, and actionable.
Your Role: Supporting Predictable Project Performance Through Control, Data, and Technology
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining project controls systems, processes, and reporting across Webber's Infrastructure Management Division. This role assists with scheduling, cost control, document management, reporting, forecasting, construction technology platforms, and data governance initiatives that help improve project visibility, consistency, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of project delivery and construction technology solutions.
What You Will Do:
  • Support the development, maintenance, and oversight of project schedules, cost controls, forecasts, and reporting tools across active projects.
  • Assist project teams with schedule updates, progress tracking, productivity monitoring, and performance reporting.
  • Support monthly cost reporting, forecasting processes, and budget tracking initiatives.
  • Perform schedule and cost variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain project controls data, dashboards, and reporting systems to ensure information accuracy and consistency.
  • Support enterprise project controls systems, construction technology platforms, and data management tools utilized across the organization.
  • Assist with system implementations, upgrades, testing, enhancements, and go-live activities to promote successful adoption and utilization.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Project Controls, and IT teams to improve system integration and reporting capabilities.
  • Support document control processes, standards, retention requirements, and best practices across projects.
  • Conduct audits and quality reviews related to project records, system access, procedural compliance, and data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with established project controls procedures, templates, and governance standards.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, executive reports, scorecards, and performance metrics related to schedule, cost, productivity, and project health.
  • Assist in the identification and assessment of project risks through data analysis and reporting.
  • Support change management, claims analysis, and documentation efforts as required.
  • Prepare user guides, training materials, and process documentation for project controls systems and technologies.
  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting assistance to project teams regarding project controls processes and systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project controls effectiveness, reporting capabilities, and operational scalability.
  • Support the standardization of project controls practices across the Infrastructure Management Division.

Who You Are: A Profile of Success
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, information systems, business administration, project management, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost control, construction systems administration, project analytics, or data management.
  • Strong understanding of project controls principles, including scheduling, forecasting, cost management, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Experience supporting construction, maintenance, infrastructure, or transportation projects preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project controls and construction technology platforms such as Primavera P6, ArcGIS, CMMS systems, HeavyJob, Procore, budgeting and forecasting tools, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
