Must currently reside within commuting distance from Boca Raton, Florida. Must also have a Bachelors Degree (or greater) and telecom industry sales experience at an equivalent level. This is not a remote role and not a Senior Executive role - it is hands-on. 

ByVerTek is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to provide strategic sales innovation to define revenue growth strategies, expand market share and oversee all sales operations company-wide. In this role, the individual will be responsible for building high-level client relationships with key decision-makers and aligning the sales and marketing resources to educate the market on the technical and business benefits of our fiber build construction solutions. The candidate must be a proactive, self-motivated leader with a deep strategic understanding of the telecom and/or fiber optic infrastructure market and a proven track record in industry sales leadership. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President of Marketing. 

This position also requires an entrepreneurial, start-up business mindset. The successful candidate will be resourceful, adaptable, self-directed and willing to build relationships and pursue opportunities in a fast-moving, growth-oriented organization.

What You'll Do: 

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans that align with the company's overall business objectives
  • New Business Development and Market Expansion: Identify, prospect and secure new markets and clients for our fiber build construction solutions
  • Relationship Management: Develop additional opportunities within existing client organizations by identifying new projects, programs, markets, services and decision-makers
  • Sales Operations and Forecasting: Oversee the entire sales pipeline and operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and providing accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to executive leadership
  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, contract discussions and client presentations
  • Command of Technology: Craft board-level and client-ready PowerPoint presentations, build Pipeline dashboard KPIs for daily reporting; create advanced Excel reports
  • Partner with Marketing: Deliver account-based Marketing campaigns, collaborate on industry events, lead generation and sales enablement
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the C-level executives in the human resources, marketing, finance, and operations departments to ensure seamless go-to-market strategies that drive the company’s goals and objectives
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about fiber optic technology, OSP construction, broadband deployment, competitor activity, customer priorities and emerging industry trends


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree is required; in a relevant field is a plus
  • Experience: Proven track record of outside sales, business development, presentations and reporting within the OSP, wireless telecommunications or fiber optics construction industry is required
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of fiber optic technology, outside plant infrastructure (e.g., underground/aerial), networking and related products is preferred
  • Military experience is a plus

  • Communication and Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in making executive-level presentations and participating in contract negotiations
