We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of racquets club operations. As an associate of Troon | Cliff Drysdale & Peter Burwash International Tennis, you will contribute to a global leader in racquet sports management.

This is an Exempt, salaried position.

Enforces all club and corporate policies and procedures.

Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve member/guest satisfaction.

Accountable for meeting financial goals of Adult Tennis Department.

Creates marketing requests for all upcoming events for Adult Tennis Programs and Events.

Responsible for creating and conducting play options.

Responsible for the creation and execution of a marketing plan including, but not limited to social media, email blasts, internal flyer creation.

Responsible for creating, marketing, and executing tournaments and leagues.

Ensures proper charging of fees for Lessons, Programming, Events.

Initiates, directs, and promotes tennis clinics, special events and programs to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests.

Quickly and efficiently responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns in a professional, tactful manner.

Provides beginning through advance instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players.

Implements and develops lesson programs for adults and leads Racquets Staff.

Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities daily prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Reports any maintenance problems to the appropriate person.

Strong knowledge of racquet sports merchandise to properly give information to consumers.

Maintains a close working relationship with the Facility General Manager/Owner and non-tennis facility staff.

Attends facility management meetings.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Responsibilities:

Maintains a work schedule of 70% on court t. Teaching/supervising and 30% of admin hours.

Is responsible for providing a curriculum and pathway of all adult programs.

Works alongside Racquets Director and Club General Manager in the assistance of membership growth and membership experience.

Accountable for meeting Adult Programming, Adult League, Adult Events Financial Goals.

Responsible for creating and conducting play options for adults.

Participates in weekly meeting alongside Club General Manager, Director of Racquets, Director of Pickleball, Fitness Director, Junior Director, Proshop Manager.

Assists Director of Racquets in the training of pro staff.

Creates marketing requests with CDT HQ for upcoming Adult Programming, Events, Leagues.

Responsible for advertising Adult Programs in the community, Cross Promoting amongst Departments.

In the absence of Director of Racquets, Assistant Director will assume all Director responsibilities alongside Club Manager.

Works alongside Director in the education of pro shop staff about programs and equipment.

Works alongside Director and Club Manager in the growth, presence, experience and overall standard of the club.

Education/Experience:

  • Complete USTA SafePlay Certification prior to position start.
Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.

Occasionally sits.

Regularly lifts 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions; noise level is moderate.
