What this job involves:

The Engineering Program Manager supports JLL's client, Amazon Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF), holding responsibility for engineering program support within the assigned Area and back-up support for the Regional Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for MEP assets within the assigned buildings, collaborating with the Site Team for recommending, planning, and executing MEP repair and maintenance, and collaborating with the Regional Engineering Manager to plan, organize, schedule, and direct the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of the facilities within the assigned Area. You will also manage one or more engineering professionals. You will set priorities for the team to ensure task completion while coordinating work activities with other supervisors based on policies, procedures, and business plan. You will receive guidance and oversight from the Regional Engineering Manager.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Manage individual program ownership with excellent communication skills to follow up that the processes remain current, are reviewed/revised accordingly, and are updated and shared, including Asset Life Cycle & Reliability; CapEx development; D&C Closeout, Commissioning, and Asset Data Gathering; and MEP employee comfort systems
  • Provide support to the Regional Engineering Manager on existing or escalating MEP troubleshooting and repairs within the area
  • Partner with the Regional Engineering Manager and Project Managers on new builds and projects ensuring consistency to standards and GREF Programs
  • Partner with area Site Teams in the creation, recommendation, and approval of site-specific engineering programs
  • Use data trends to identify potential system problems and proactively work with teams in solutioning/verification including Hot/Cold Calls and SEV1 (Emergency) and SEV2 (Urgent) Reactive Work Orders
  • Assist the Site Teams and the Regional Engineering Manager with Corrigo MEP Assets and Preventative Maintenance Programs, validating that Assets are current with applicable JACS coding and PM programs meet equipment requirements for life expectancy and longevity
  • Manage warranty program including ensuring all device warranty dates are recorded
  • Partner with area SFM's and FM's on obtaining site specific information for Global Engineering, Sustainability, and other requests on low/no cost initiatives to drive and improve customer satisfaction
  • Verify MEP standards are programmed and met at site locations while identifying potential design impacts
  • Identify value add opportunities and partner with Regional Engineer Manager in development of narrative
  • Manage equipment PM schedules
  • Partner with other Engineering Program Managers to maintain consistency across the regions with process creation and improvement, high risk work notification, contract SLA and SOW review and updates, and information gathering deliverables
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors based on policies, procedures, and business plan
  • Manage one or more engineering professionals.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS degree in technology or engineering strongly preferred with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing background a plus
  • 3-5+ years of program management experience, implementing efficient large-scale platform projects through the full project lifecycle strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide thought leadership and direction on assigned programs ensuring disciplined execution and continuous improvement of Program and Project Management practices
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to influence stakeholders and team members with a variety of personal styles to focus on right priorities under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Effective conflict and impediments management in a fast-paced environment with ability to take higher responsibilities working with cross-functional team who are working on multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying/closing gaps in the program development and implementation lifecycle
  • Self-motivated and independent critical thinker who can visualize and guide team during conflicting situations to stay focused on business goals and priorities
  • Proven experience in process development and project management principles leading to improved outcomes with the ability to prioritize activities and work on multiple activities or priorities at once and stay on track and within budget
  • Experience communicating effectively with leaders regarding the program scope, schedule, budget, risks, mitigation strategies, status, and expectations.
