What We're Looking For:
The COE Director-Operations is a critical enabler of Legal and Insurance operations.. They have the proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum productivity using Lean and other world-class operations techniques. The COE Director- Operations partners with executive COE leaders to set strategic operational goals and execute these goals in a timely manner.
What You Will Do:
  • Owns the operational strategy and full-year performance of the COE, translating Legal and Insurance business segment strategy into multi-year functional plans with measurable objectives.
  • Directs the function through subordinate managers; develops, coaches, and builds a strong management bench, owning succession planning and leadership capability across the COE.
  • Holds full accountability for the COE's budget and financial results, partnering with Sr. Leadership on financial and budgetary planning and allocating resources to optimize productivity and cost.
  • Develops, implements, and governs the operational systems, processes, and KPIs that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles across key initiatives.
  • Builds a culture of continuous improvement, championing change and applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other world-class methodologies to eliminate defects and drive value to customers.
  • Leads complex, ambiguous problem-solving and root-cause analysis; identifies systemic bottlenecks and inefficiencies and directs the strategies to resolve them.
  • Sets and evaluates performance standards for the COE, empowering leaders to make decisions and own outcomes while working through the most challenging or complex situations.
  • Drives results by motivating the management team to meet or exceed targeted metrics, holding leaders accountable for timely project completion and performance targets.
  • Makes data-driven decisions by analyzing operational data and generating insights and reports that keep COE and executive leadership informed on progress.
  • Communicates strategic vision and influences across functions, building trust, aligning teams to organizational initiatives, and inspiring others to follow.
  • Owns and drives culture; leads by example, embodying Datavant's core values and reinforcing the company's mission, vision, and purpose.
  • Leverages new and emerging technology to increase efficiency, raise productivity, and reduce cost across the COE.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders, sustaining a customer-centric focus on the highest quality standards.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, Business, Engineering or related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience
  • Lean Principles, Six Sigma, or Quality Management background preferred
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Demonstrates understanding of end-to-end business process knowledge
  • Experience implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to analyze, develop, initiate, and implement plans and strategies to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrates high level of cross functional communication
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
  • Completion of organization identified training modules, as required
  • Meets or exceeds leadership assessment standards

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. This role is eligible for bonus/commission, and the range below is inclusive of those targets.
The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$152,400-$178,800 USD
The estimated base salary range (not including bonus/commission) for this role is:
$127,000-$149,000 USD
