Job description

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Foundry Sports · Neptune, NJ · Hybrid + Event Travel
About Foundry Sports

The Role

Our first Director of Operations. You'll own the infrastructure that makes live events run — execution, logistics, staffing, vendor relationships, athlete coordination, and the systems that hold it all together. This reports directly to the CEO. Real authority, real accountability.
What You'll Own

  • End-to-end planning and execution for all Foundry Sports events across all markets — signings, camps, VIP experiences, live fan events
  • Standard operating procedures for every event type; consistent execution regardless of city or venue
  • Event-day staffing, venue coordination, fan flow, check-in, and on-site athlete logistics
  • Athlete travel, appearance windows, run-of-show documents, and day-of talent handling
  • Vendor relationships: venues, staffing agencies, security, photography, authentication
  • Operations team hiring, development, and accountability as we scale
  • Operational tech stack: event software, check-in systems, staff scheduling, attendee data, consent management
  • Cross-portfolio collaboration with sister companies in the sports industry on shared logistics
What We're Looking For

  • 6–10 years of operations experience with direct ownership of live event execution
  • Multi-city or multi-venue event management experience
  • Strong people manager — you've hired, developed, and made hard calls on staff
  • Experience handling talent or athlete logistics with the discretion that requires
  • Systems-minded and comfortable building process from scratch
  • Located in or reliably commuting to Neptune, NJ — 3 days on-site per week
  • Comfortable with 25–35% travel including weekends
Preferred: background in sports experiences, fan events, or youth sports; familiarity with Shopify or event ticketing platforms; experience at a founder-led or growth-stage company.
