Job Summary:
The Director of Managed IT Services is responsible for defining, driving, and delivering the company's technology vision and roadmap. Director of Managed IT Services balances strategic leadership with hands-on solution design-guiding the engineering team in building scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions while also taking ownership of large or complex project design and solution estimating. He or She is responsible for directing Service Delivery, Professional Services, and centralized maintenance services to meet company goals and SLAs.
The Director of IT will ensure that customer-facing solutions are cost-effective, technically sound, and aligned with client business objectives. As a member of the leadership team, The Director of IT collaborates with across operations, sales, and service delivery to scale technology services that support long-term growth and client satisfaction. Additionally, the Director will serve as EOS Integrator for the company working closely with the CEO visionary.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Mentors and guides technical team (endpoint, integrations, cloud/security) to foster innovation and accountability.
  • Oversees technology governance, risk management, and compliance across infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Leads the architecture and design of large-scale, complex IT solutions (cloud migrations, security frameworks, multi-site deployments, advanced integrations).
  • Ensures endpoint, network, infrastructure, and cloud security practices are aligned with industry best practices.
  • Lead NOC, Helpdesk, Field Support, and outsourced SOC services

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Defines and communicates the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Identifies emerging technologies, industry trends, and possible vendor partnerships.
  • Owns solution estimating for complex client proposals, ensuring accurate scope, cost modeling, and risk assessment.
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing to design solutions tailored to client needs, balancing performance, scalability, and budget.
  • Drives adoption of automation, AI, and analytics across internal systems and customer-facing portals.
  • Provides executive-level technical input in proposals, RFP responses, and strategic client engagements.
  • Establishes and manages strategic relationships with key technology vendors.
  • Negotiates enterprise-level contracts, licensing, and pricing to maximize ROI and maintain competitive cost structures.
  • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
  • Provides the CEO and executive team with actionable insights from reporting and analytics tools.
  • Supports escalation for highly complex client or operational issues only when executive-level intervention might be required.
  • Responsible for running hosted environments
  • Responsible for staff and department to deliver all ongoing and newly implemented IT solutions involving cloud, security, compliance, infrastructure, endpoints, and all technical areas of the business
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Time Commitments & On-Call Expectations:
  • Full-Time Role - Regular business hours with flexibility as required by project or incident response needs.

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Must have MSP experience
  • Demonstrated ability to balance executive strategy with hands-on technical problem-solving.
  • Proven success in large/complex IT solution architecture and accurate cost estimating.
  • Well versed in cloud and datacenter: Azure & Microsoft 365, Google, Windows Server, Linux, Virtualization, Hyperconvergence
  • Extensive experience implementing and delivering Database servers, web servers, storage servers, user directory services, and endpoint management solutions
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement cybersecurity best information
  • Cloud Security, XDR, and SOC services
  • Experience leading vendor negotiations and managing SMB and enterprise-level technology contracts.
  • Well- versed in SOC II, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and related compliance frameworks
  • Required hands on experience in backup implementation and management, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions and policy
  • Familiarity with AI, analytics platforms, or data visualization tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in complex situations.
  • Experience with Kaseya toolsets a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and time-management skills.

Education & Experience:
  • 5+ years of MSP experience, including at least 5 years in a senior/managerial role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or a combination of equivalent certifications and work experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasionally, equipment may need to be lifted or moved up to 25 lbs.
