Position Overview
This role requires an experienced leader with a strong technical background and the ability to manage large-scale IT environments while ensuring that systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. Independently provides leadership and strategic direction to Systems and Network teams for the IT infrastructure, operations and communications in general and as applicable to enterprise and corporate applications. Collaborates closely with senior leadership, department heads, managers and staff to grow, maintain and support the organization's enterprise and corporate technology.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Leads, manages, and develops strategic direction for infrastructure and engineering groups
  • Manages IT supervisors, and technical staff
  • Responsible for management and expansion of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure including servers, PCs, operating systems, telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, security systems, software, peripherals, and enterprise & corporate applications
  • Plans for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage in co-location data centers
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure, evaluating their potential applications to the organization.
  • Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Develops and oversee implementation of IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, compliance, disaster recovery, and service provisioning
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new IT services and solutions that align with business objectives
  • Functions as technical project manager for enterprise and infrastructure projects utilizing project management best practices
  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Related certifications preferred
  • Requires 10+ years of progressive technical experience in Information Technology, Infrastructure, Operations, Enterprise & Corporate Systems, and 5+ years of IT leadership/management
  • Strong leadership, teambuilding and communication skills with proven experience in managing large-scale IT environments
  • In-depth knowledge of the following: principles of data communications and telecommunications; server/computer operating systems; LAN/WAN fundamentals; enterprise & corporate applications
  • Experience with security, compliance, business continuity and disaster planning
