About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director of Business Development to lead our growth initiatives—focus being data-driven direct mail and omni-channel solutions. This individual will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth across targeted industries. The Director of Business Development will report directly to the EVP of Sales and Marketing. The ideal candidate is a consultative, solutions-oriented sales professional with experience in print, packaging, large format, branded merchandise, or agency/marketing services.

The Director of Business Development will act as a trusted advisor to clients, develop and execute growth strategies, and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver seamless solutions. This role requires both independent drive and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across targeted industries.
  • Drive lead generation and maintain a strong, healthy sales pipeline.
  • Utilize a consultative, solutions-based approach to uncover client needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development.
  • Manage and grow key client relationships to drive retention, loyalty, and expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal departments—including marketing, operations, and creative—to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and market positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in new business development, lead generation, and sales strategy execution.
  • Strong experience in customer acquisition, retention, and account management.
  • Expertise in consultative and solutions-based selling. Focus on data-driven direct mail and omni-channel solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with both independent drive and collaborative energy.
  • Industry experience in print, packaging, large format, branded merchandise, or agency/marketing services is highly preferred.
