About This Position
Traveling Food Service Director will plan and direct the activities associated with running and assisting food service operations in multiple sites. Step into facilities within assigned region which need support with management, preparing meals and/or other tasks as assigned based on the clients/our needs. You will be in charge of the operational and financial responsibilities for the kitchen while assigned to a designated location. You will supervise an AFSD and/or a team of Food Service Supervisors and/or Cooks who are involved with the preparation, serving and clean-up of food in a secure correctional facility. Before deployment to any facility, the Regional Food Service District manager or designee will complete briefing on the status of the facility and support needs, which will be reviewed.
You will work onsite inside a jail/correctional facility. You will report to the District Manager.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served according to facility or site plan.
  • You will hire, orient, train and issues corrective action (when applicable) to team members.
  • You will review payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Ensure all team members are adequately trained to perform job responsibilities safely.
  • Maintain accuracy of inventory in advance preparation of planned menu schedule.
  • Know and comply with client's contractual obligations.
  • Maintain accurate onsite reports of daily and monthly financial, production, and activity.
  • Responsible for any state or other inspection of food service operation.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time from your home base account including overnight stays at hotels when needed.
  • Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, and you must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Three years of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical abilities to complete necessary reports.
  • Five years' of management or supervisory experience in a food service environment.
  • ServSafe Food Manager's Certification required.
  • Establish a course of action for self and/or others to accomplish specific goals by planning proper assignments of personnel and appropriate allocation of resources.
