EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

OBJECTIVE

To help carry out the mission of Passion City Church, that we are: for God, for people, for the city, and for the world.

The Executive Director of Operations serves as a senior executive leader, primarily responsible for the operational and financial vitality of the Passion Movement. With a growth and impact mindset, this role leads the full scope of Passion's central infrastructure, including Finance, HR, IT, legal, Security and real estate. The Executive Director of Operations enables Passion to run with operational excellence, ensuring sustainable growth, strong stewardship, and unified execution across all rooms of our House.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executive Leadership & Strategic Alignment

    • Serves on the executive team to align Passion's operational and financial strategies under its vision and mission.
    • Acts as a trusted leader across every room of our house-ensuring they are supported by scalable systems, data-driven decisions, and faithful stewardship.
    • Fosters strong collaboration with executive leaders to coordinate joint efforts across ministry and operations in all global and local entities.
    • Networks and maintains positive relationships with local civic communities.
  • Financial Stewardship & Risk Management
    • Leads aligned financial strategy (short and long term), and gives oversight to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across all Passion Ministry entities.
    • Stewards key banking and wealth management relationships.
    • Provides oversight of revenue streams (church, label, events, publishing) maintaining full compliance with nonprofit financial standards.
    • Guides internal financial accountability and donor confidence through regular reporting to leadership and the Board.
    • Oversees annual audits, tax compliance, and legal obligations.
  • Operations & Organizational Development
    • Oversees operational systems across HR, IT, facilities, and Finance for all locations and entities.
    • Serves as the key point of contact for new and existing real estate/property relationships and as the lead negotiator on new projects and contract renewals.
    • Builds operational infrastructure that effectively supports church and global teams.
    • Leads risk management and organizational policies, including contracts, vendor relations, and insurance coverages.
    • Ensures consistent communication, project management, and operational discipline across a fast-paced, high-impact team environment.
    • Maintains strong relationships with Passion's network of legal counsel.
  • Team Leadership & Culture
    • Builds and leads a high-capacity operations team marked by humility, excellence, and trust.
    • Champions staff care, development, and a culture of excellence that honors Jesus.
    • Integrates spiritual formation and organizational health into systems and practices.

    • 10+ years of executive leadership experience in finance, operations, or business development-preferably with experience in ministry, media, or nonprofit organizations.
    • Proven experience managing multi-entity organizations and diverse revenue streams.
    • Demonstrated ability to scale teams, implement infrastructure, and lead through change.
    • Excellent financial literacy, strategic insight, and organizational development skills.
    • Skilled and proven track record of facilitating large scale, multi-faceted negotiations.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree required; CPA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.
