Job description

Director Of Development

The Director of Development is responsible for leading fundraising efforts with a primary focus on major gifts, donor cultivation, stewardship and philanthropic growth. This position dedicates approximately 80% of its time to development activities and 20% to marketing and communications initiatives that support fundraising and organizational awareness. The Director of Development is directly responsible to the Executive Director.

FUNDRAISING

Develop a robust fundraising plan to achieve the organization's charitable goals

Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations and other potential funding sources

Identify, cultivate and solicit major donors throughout Stark County and on a regional scope as the Clinic serves 9+ counties with its unique structure and services

Work closely with Executive Director and Board members to engage in donor cultivation

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date donor management database in Bloomerang

MARKETING

Develop and implement a simple marketing strategy to drive awareness and family/donor engagement

Utilizes online marketing platforms to achieve awareness of the organization and online giving

Create engaging and relevant content for email and print campaigns/newsletters

Plan and coordinate awareness events utilizing volunteers

OVERALL

Prepare monthly reports of success and present to Executive Director and Board

Develop fundraising and marketing budgets effectively to maximize results

Participates in continuing education

Provide other tasks as requested by Executive Director
