Overview
We seek an experienced Data Strategy Director who can get going quickly and lead impactful data initiatives. This role requires a leader with the strategic foresight to shape data projects from the ground up and the practical know-how to execute them at the highest level. The ideal candidate will not only excel in the technical aspects of data management but also understand how data can fuel creative strategies and growth opportunities.
As a key partner to brand strategy and creative teams, you will help bridge the gap between data and storytelling, ensuring that data is seen not just as an input but as a discipline. You must be proactive, resourceful, and able to uncover actionable insights that contribute to business growth and creative excellence.
Responsibilities
Own Campaign Measurement
  • Own end-to-end measurement lifecycle of campaigns.
  • Work with clients and internal teams to build measurement plans for campaign activations (including paid, earned and owned).
  • Understand measurement landscape to identify appropriate measurement partners and project manage partners from RFP to report.
  • Build custom reports that deliver compelling narrative and clear actionable insights.

Identify Growth Audiences
  • Leverage primary research and/or syndicated data to identify high-potential growth audiences by analyzing demographic, psychographic, and behavioral data.
  • Create precise audience profiles, providing a deep understanding of target segments and informing effective strategies for engagement and acquisition.

Collaborate Across Disciplines
  • Work closely with brand strategy, account management, and creative teams to align data insights with brand goals and creative outputs.
  • Use your expertise in data analytics to uncover insights that drive creative strategies and fuel innovative ideas.
  • Serve as a strategic partner, ensuring that brand initiatives are built on solid data foundations, allowing client work to resonate more deeply with target audiences and shape impactful campaigns, content, and brand direction.

Be Data Fluent and Social Savvy
  • Use data source expertise to creatively solve problems.
  • Know partners (i.e. MRI Simmons, GlobalWebIndex, Epsilon, social listening, etc) inside and out to efficiently pull data and create compelling visuals from raw data. Be capable of owning and flawlessly driving both quantitative and qualitative research projects with limited oversight.
  • Conduct in-depth social listening analysis to track, monitor, and interpret conversations across various social media platforms.
  • Program advanced tools to uncover emerging trends, sentiments, and consumer perceptions.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Data Strategy Director or in a senior data-driven strategy role (8-10 years experience). The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a talent and proven ability for translating data insights into compelling narratives.
  • A strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with experience in conducting and analyzing primary research.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with brand strategy and creative teams.
  • Ability to work independently, with a proactive and resourceful approach to solving complex problems.
  • Strong social listening skills, with the ability to build advanced Boolean queries to enable the monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of social media conversations.
  • Tools and skills: MRI Simmons, GlobalWebIndex, social listening tools, Excel, expertise in data visualization (creating clear, impactful visualizations from raw data, including charts, graphs, and dashboards that tell a story).

Compensation Range: $127,585 - $183,330 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
