Position Summary

Lifeline Blood Services is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to join our executive leadership team. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the organization's administrative functions, including Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance, Purchasing, Fleet and Facilities Management, and Administrative Services.

The Director of Operations will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and department leaders to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and exceptional service throughout the organization.

Schedule
  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday | 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • On-call as needed
  • Up to 25% travel
Leadership & Operations
  • Provide strategic leadership for Administrative Services and oversee daily business operations.
  • Directs IT Coordinator, Administrative Services Associate, Receptionist, HR Manager, Facilities/Fleet Manager, and Warehouse Associate
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency and reduce overhead costs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish organizational goals and financial plans.
  • Monitor organizational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Evaluate business processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and external business partners.
  • Attend executive leadership meetings and contribute to organizational planning.
Administration
  • Oversee purchasing, contracts, accounts payable/receivable, and credit card reconciliation.
  • Manage insurance programs, including workers' compensation, property, vehicle, liability, cyber, and employment practices coverage.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor and customer contracts.
  • Ensure effective purchasing and inventory controls.
Human Resources
  • Provide leadership and support to the Human Resources department.
  • Partner with department directors on job descriptions and performance evaluations.
  • Promote positive employee relations and organizational culture.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and employment regulations.
  • Oversee relationships with Human Resources vendors and the organization's Professional Employer Organization (PEO).
Information Technology
  • Provide oversight of technology systems, telecommunications, software applications, and IT vendors.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and effectiveness of organizational technology.
  • Support technology initiatives that improve operational performance.
Fleet & Facilities
  • Oversee maintenance and operations of company facilities and fleet.
  • Monitor facility maintenance, repairs, inventory, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure company assets are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive operations management experience.
  • Experience leading multiple departments and managing organizational operations.
  • Experience with budgeting, financial planning, vendor management, and contract administration is strongly preferred.

This position is primarily performed in an indoor office environment. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate.
