Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. In addition, we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children's Center including the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Family Care Center, a Level II NICU, the Sarvanand Heart, and Brain Center with Kern County's first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and many more services. As our Registered Nurse (RN) in Neuro Telemetry, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Responsibilites:

  • Perform patient assessment/reassessment, including giving or receiving comprehensive change of shift and intermittent report, obtaining the nursing history, conducting a physical assessment, establishing priorities for care.
  • Assess patient's learning needs, readiness for discharge and ability of the patient/family/SO to manage illness after discharge.
  • Completes both computer and hand written documentation using correct format in an accurate, precise, timely, legible and complete manner .
  • Provide direct patient care, as required. Assist physician with procedures, as necessary.
  • Report changes in patient's condition to physician.

Required

  • Other Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications and 1-2 years of previous acute care experience required or hired through the RN Versant program., upon hire and
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire American Heart Association (AHA)
