Job description

Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

$500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg/Observation

Job Details:

• 12-hour PM shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• 8-bed observation unit with 1:4 patient ratio and 2 RNs per shift
• Care for patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, CHF, dehydration, pre-op, urology, and GI
• Manage drips including Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Insulin, and Heparin
• High volume of admissions and discharges with average patient stay up to 48 hours
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips required
• Will be required to take an EKG exam during compliance
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment
• EPIC charting experience required
• Background in observation units or step-down MS/Tele units preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (ARC or AHA accepted)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Scrub colors: any color
