About the role:
This role is best for someone who has a combination of strong Marketo expertise with excellent operational discipline and a sharp eye for optimization. The ideal candidate is someone already using AI in practice and is comfortable applying AI to improve speed, quality, analysis, testing, and overall team productivity. You will own email and nurture strategy, oversee marketing automation execution, and ensure the quality and effectiveness of key programs across forms, routing, data, and campaign workflows. This role will also manage one specialist level role focused on Email Marketing.
This role sits within marketing, but partners closely with RevOps who owns the broader company-wide systems and operations. This role owns marketing's automation strategy, execution, and process improvement, with Marketo at the center.
Your contribution will be:
Marketing Automation & Program Strategy
  • Own Marketo as marketing's core automation platform and lead execution of email, nurture, database hygiene and campaign workflows
  • Ensure proper governance in accordance with guidelines, including things like GDPR
  • Develop and optimize email and nurture strategy across campaign, newsletter, and operational programs
  • Build scalable processes, templates, and working models that improve speed, quality, and consistency

Lead Management & Conversion Operations
  • Own marketing's lead scoring, routing requirements, and data quality processes in partnership with RevOps
  • Oversee forms, landing page QA, routing, testing, and related conversion operations for nintex.com
  • Troubleshoot operational issues quickly and strengthen processes to reduce manual work and errors

Performance, Optimization & Team Leadership
  • Own performance reporting for email, nurture, and marketing automation programs, using insights to improve engagement and conversion
  • Apply AI and testing in practical ways to improve workflow efficiency, execution quality, and overall program performance
  • Manage and develop one Email Marketing Specialist, providing direction, coaching, and quality control

To be successful, we think you need:
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, marketing operations, or email marketing, with deep hands-on Marketo expertise
  • Strong experience with email programs, nurture campaigns, lead management, forms, landing pages, and marketing performance reporting
  • Familiarity with CRM data structures
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve productivity, execution, analysis, or workflow effectiveness
  • 1 year of experience as a direct people manager or Team Lead or mentor required

Target Compensation Range (US ONLY): 120,000 - 145,000 USD annually. On target compensation refers to the base salary and applicable variable target for this role. The range is an estimate, base pay will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate's skills and experience aligned with the needs of the role. Base pay may vary based on several factors including geographic location, role specific qualifications, and seniority. Nintex also offers a competitive benefits package including paid time off, twelve paid holidays, 401(k) with employer match, and more.
