Summary:
The Director of Operations will lead operational performance and strategy execution across OEM facilities which align with the Advanced Compression and Sealing (ACS) business unit. This position will be instrumental in driving governance and consistency across multiple plants, identifying and deploying best practice methods while improving gross margin performance.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
  • Collaboratively lead a team of Plant Managers across all aspects of operational readiness to ensure exceptional performance
  • Works effectively in a matrix organizational structure with the ability to create and maintain productive relationships
  • Experience in coaching and the development of leaders - champions training and growth initiatives
  • Be visible and make connections across all levels of the workforce (i.e. operations leadership to the employees) to gain valuable insights into areas of strength and opportunities
Multi-Site Operational Performance
  • Own multi-site P&L; ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiency, with demonstrated ability to drive product margin and overall profitability
  • Identify potential cost improvement opportunities through lean improvements
  • Drive consistent multisite performance; reduce variability
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements (i.e. safety, quality, financial, etc.).
  • Review current and historical data to understand efficiency & capacity, including equipment conditions, maintenance logs, spare parts and detailed production numbers
  • Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis
  • Lead manufacturing performance improvement turnarounds and transformations
  • Champions process improvement and lean manufacturing activities; lead the implementation of best practices across manufacturing operations
Strategy Deployment
  • Proven experience in strategy and change management; with the ability to drive it across multiple sites.
  • Identify key risks and mitigation strategies and develop transformation plans to drive proposed changes
  • Specific experience designing and leading the execution of both internally and externally focused strategies
  • Develop and implement site systems and processes, drawing on internal expertise and external best practices.
  • Embed lean principles and a continuous improvement mindset across operations and support functions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects from initiation to completion-on time, within budget, and to high performance standards.
Minimum required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • Experience in lean manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with ISO or TS quality standards

  • Proven success growing revenue, while controlling and improving margins, maintaining operational performance metrics and leading high-performing teams.
