This role requires someone who is both strategic and operational,ย equally comfortable shaping the future vision of loyalty while leading the day-to-day execution that drives member growth, engagement, retention, and lifetime value.ย 

Theย Associateย Director, Beauty Squadย drivesย planning,ย operations, and execution ofย e.l.f.'sย digitalย membership andย community ecosystem.ย 

Youโ€™llย own the end-to-end member experience across acquisition, engagement, rewards, community participation, gamification, and member recognition;ย driving active membership growth, retention, customer lifetime value, and brand advocacy.ย 

The roleย managesย a portfolioย of touchpoints and KPIs inย e.l.f.โ€™sย Beauty Squad connected community vision,ย spanning:ย 

  • Member acquisition and onboardingย 

  • Rewards,ย redemptionย and recognition strategyย

Theย Associateย Director sets strategic prioritizes, supports management ofย investments, measures program performance, and leads aย leanย team responsible for both business-as-usual operations and long-term transformation of the Beauty Squad ecosystem.ย 

Responsibilities

Beauty Squad Platform Growthย 

  • Define and lead theย crawl/walk/runย roadmap of evolving and scalingย Beauty Squad as an interconnected membershipย ecosystemย synchronized toย e.l.f.โ€™sย broader community strategyย 

  • Drive net new member acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and lifetime value growth, measured acrossย connectedย channels; DTC, Retail in-store/online and Marketplaces (Amazon, TikTok Shop)ย 

  • Identifyย new opportunities to increase member participation across commerce, content, experiences,ย partnershipsย and communityย in partnership withย Integrated Marketing Communicationsย (IMC)ย teamย 

  • Ownย annual goals, KPIs, and investment priorities for the program; measure andย monitoringย weekly/monthlyย 

  • Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends across loyalty, gaming, social commerce, AI, and membership ecosystemsย 

Member Acquisition, Engagementย & Active User Growthย 

  • Ownย go-to-marketย plansย for monthly campaignsย thatย focus on value gains ofย Beauty Squad membership and increase active participationย and tie intoย broader US and International marketingย calendarsย 

  • Lead onboarding journeys and activation programs that accelerate member engagementย and synchronize seamlessly with the brand and communityย visionย 

  • Partner with Commerce, Retail,ย IMC, Internationalย and Social Commerce teams to drive member acquisition at every customer touchpointย 

Rewards, Recognition & Loyalty Innovationย 

  • Own end-to-end rewards strategy including points, tiers,ย perks, surprise-and-delight, experiential rewards, and member recognitionย 

  • Continuously evolve the loyalty value proposition to remain differentiated and competitiveย 

  • Evaluate new reward structures and engagement models that increase participation and emotional loyaltyย 

  • Explore future-facing loyalty opportunities including gamification, collectibles, immersive experiences, AI-powered rewards, and community-driven recognitionย 

Community, Content & Engagement Programmingย 

  • Lead member engagement strategy across Beauty Squad's digital community ecosystem; develop programs that deepen emotional connection between members and the brandย 

  • Support and advocate forย member eventย inclusion, exclusive access opportunities, product testing programs, advisory panels, and community initiativesย 

  • Establish programs that transform members into advocates, creators, and brand ambassadorsย 

Gaming, Gamification & Emerging Experiencesย 

  • Drive member engagement through gamification, challenges, streaks, badges, quests, and interactive experiences, in partnership with IMCย 

  • Develop engagement mechanics that increase frequency, participation, and retentionย 

  • Evaluateย new technologiesย and experiences that strengthen Beauty Squad's role in the broaderย e.l.f. ecosystemย 

Member Experience Operations & Governanceย 

  • Own member policies, benefits, terms, and operational governanceย in conjunction with legal and complianceย 

  • Oversee day-to-day program management, issue resolution, escalations, and member feedback processesย with customer service teamย 

  • Ensure program integrity, consistency, and seamless execution across all channelsย withย clear operational processes and measurement frameworksย 

Data, Analytics & Performance Managementย 

  • Define success metrics and reporting frameworks for acquisition, active users, engagement, retention, revenue contribution, and advocacyย 

  • Leverageย and closely collaborate withย customer insightsย teamย toย identifyย opportunities for growth and optimizationย 

  • Partner withย Insights andย Data & Analytics teams to improve segmentation, personalization, and member experiencesย 

  • Use testing, experimentation, and member feedback to drive continuous improvementย 

Team Leadership & Strategic Executionย 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team responsible for loyalty operations, member engagement, rewards strategy, and community programmingย

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, Customer Experience, or related fieldย 

  • 8ย years of experience inย leading and managing globalย loyalty, membership, customer engagement, CRM, digital products, community management, or related disciplinesย with high volume of membersย 

  • Experience leading high-performing teams and complex cross-functionalย frameworks rooted in collaborationย 

  • Proven track record growing membership programs, active users, retention, and customer lifetime valueย 

  • Experience operating within consumer brands, retail, beauty,ย hospitality,ย gaming, media, or community-driven businessesย 

Preferred
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degreeย 
  • Experience leading modern loyalty ecosystems beyond transactional rewardsย 

  • Experience with gamification, digital communities, membership platforms, mobile apps, or creator ecosystemsย 

  • Strong understanding of customer data, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and engagement strategiesย 

  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving organizational changeย 

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to build business cases and prioritize investmentsย 

The base salary range for this roleย isย listed above.ย

Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity.ย Under e.l.f.โ€™s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
