The Media, Graphics & Compute Technologies (MGC) group provides the media and graphics foundation for all of Apple's innovative products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. The Real-Time Video Streaming team is seeking a passionate and dedicated software engineer to join us. We develop the technology inside iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS that powers real-time media streaming features that help people stay connected.
Description
Our team is responsible for the low-latency video streaming technology powering FaceTime, Continuity Camera, HomeKit Secure Video, and more! We are looking for a skilled engineer to develop software for real-time video streaming pipelines - for example, streaming video from one device’s camera, over the network, to another device’s display.","responsibilities":"Develop new features and improve existing features in Apple’s operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications
You are proficient in multi-threaded systems software development.
You have experience with low-latency audio/video streaming and networking protocols: WebRTC, VoIP, RTP, UDP, video codecs, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
You write elegant and maintainable object-oriented code in Objective-C, C, or C++.
You have excellent attention to detail.
You are highly motivated, self-directed, and a fast learner with strong communication skills.
You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or have equivalent work experience.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
