Job Summary:

The QA Leader will own and evolve the enterprise test strategy, lead teams, and ensure high-quality testing activities are delivered on time. This role involves strategic leadership, mentoring, and fostering a high-performance culture within the QA organization.
Responsibilities:
• Own and evolve the enterprise test strategy across functional, regression, automation, integration, and performance testing.
• Define and maintain testing standards, best practices, and quality metrics aligned to business goals.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
• Oversee automated test suites (UI, API, backend) and ensure integration into CI/CD pipelines; champion shift left testing.
• Provide strategic people leadership for Managers, Senior Delivery Leads, Test Architects, and cross functional QA/engineering teams.
• Mentor and develop leaders at multiple levels to strengthen organizational capability and technical excellence.
• Lead all core people management responsibilities: performance, career development, succession planning, and talent retention.
• Drive resource and workforce planning aligned with delivery priorities and long term objectives.
• Build a high performance culture centered on accountability, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all testing activities are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Oversee defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality risk management.
• Provide clear, data driven quality insights to leadership and stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing efficiency, reliability, and automation maturity.
• Maintain and strengthen QA processes, including test planning, test case management, and release readiness.
• Promote and enforce industry best practices across test strategy, automation, and quality governance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Director / Senior Director–level leader with experience overseeing Managers, Senior Delivery Leads, Architects, and cross functional engineering teams
• 18+ years of total experience in QE/QA/Software Engineering with progressive leadership roles
• 10+ years of direct people management experience leading multi layered technical organizations
• Proven experience building and scaling QA organizations in enterprise environments
• Strong hands on background in test automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Demonstrated success designing and executing enterprise test strategies
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
Preferred:
• Experience with cloud based testing (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, k6)
• Familiarity with API testing frameworks (Postman, REST Assured)
• Experience in large scale SaaS or enterprise platform environments
