Overview

The Inventory Specialist position is responsible for performing a range of daily inventory-related tasks that ensure timely, accurate replenishment of merchandise and stock in the store.

Responsibilities
  • Pulls customer product orders utilizing technology.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy through attention to detail and communication.
  • Partners with the General Manager to develop a strong sense of inventory awareness through constant impromptu conversations and coaching of employees
  • Exhibits pace and attention to detail in managing daily tasks
  • Adheres to the time expectations established for the role, performing tasks with accuracy and timeliness
  • Understands the direct impact of accurate inventory on the sales success of the store and effectively communicates developmental training opportunities with each Store Manager as it relates to their area of focus
  • Effectively impacts the selling effort on the salesfloor when inventory tasks are completed
  • Takes advantage of coaching opportunities to provide customized training to help employees improve their inventory awareness
  • Provides regular feedback to the General Manager during the daily touch base specifically related to inventory, follow up and coaching opportunities
  • Provides support to the Visual Sales efforts in the store by actively participating in the maintenance of the store and communicating the importance of Visual Sales

Qualifications
  • College degree preferred
  • 2-5 years inventory experience preferred
  • Retail sales experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills
  • Understands retail is an ever-changing industry and requires flexibility in scheduling
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
