Receptionist – Family Church Downtown Campus

The primary function of the receptionist position is to create a positive first impression for all guests and callers. Additionally, the receptionist will be an effective communicator, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Reports to: Director Operations and Campus Safety

Prerequisites

  • Ability to meet all minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of Family Church.
  • Affirm the Family Church Network statements of belief and practices as codified in the organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message confessional statement of 2000.
  • Maintain a close and healthy walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Maintain a high standard of excellence and moral character.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Outlook, other MS Suite applications as required.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanor.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a stressful work environment.
  • Maintain a cooperative spirit by assisting others when needed or requested.
  • Communicate effectively with leaders, peers, members, and guests.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of church resources including supplies, equipment, and intellectual property.

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.

Reception Desk Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet all visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Determine the purpose of each visitor's arrival and direct them appropriately.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Take accurate messages and ensure they are relayed promptly.
  • Provide information to guests and callers answering questions to the best of their ability.
  • Follow safety and security procedures, including monitoring visitor badges and logbooks.
  • Receive, sort, check, and distribute mail and package deliveries.
  • Other duties as assigned.
