Job description

A premier firm in West Palm Beach is looking for a Paralegal- Intellectual Property. Come work in the heart of downtown- 5 days in office .

Paralegal- Intellectual Property Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and filing of patent and trademark applications
  • Conduct thorough trademark and patent searches to ensure the uniqueness of a name or idea
  • Manage and maintain intellectual property portfolios for clients
  • Coordinate with clients to gather required documentation and information for filings
  • Draft and review legal documents and correspondence related to intellectual property
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain docketing systems to ensure timely filings
  • Conduct research on intellectual property laws and regulations
  • Assist in the enforcement of intellectual property rights, including drafting cease and desist letters
  • Prepare and file responses to office actions from the USPTO and other intellectual property offices
  • Support attorneys in litigation related to intellectual property disputes
  • Maintain and update internal databases with intellectual property information
  • Provide administrative support such as managing files, scheduling meetings, and coordinating with external counsel


  • Intellectual Property Paralegal Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program
  • Experience working in an intellectual property law firm or legal department
  • Strong understanding of USPTO rules and procedures
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and intellectual property management software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in intellectual property
