Job Summary and Qualifications

Develops and implements all aspects of the infection control plan for using CDC, TJC, WHO & OSHA guidelines; supports directors and managers in complying with regulatory and accrediting standards related to infection control practices; provides resources and evaluation in achieving infection control goals and meeting all CMS/TJC regulations for Infection Control; and leads teams in epidemiological studies, failure mode and effect analysis, and performance improvement projects related to infection control. Must use knowledge of microbiology to support proper management of infectious organisms and surveillance systems. Supervises Infection Preventionists.


What qualifications you will need:
  • (CIC) Certified in Infection Control must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse license required
  • Masters Degree required
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Two years of management or previous supervisory experience required.
  • Three to five years of Infection prevent and control experience required.
