Anesthesia Technician

Location: The Woodlands, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $33.00/hour

Schedule Options: Monday-Friday | 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM OR Three 12-hour shifts 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM

On-Call: Rotating (approximately 1 weekday + 1 weekend every 8 weeks)

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Anesthesia Technician to join a leading, patient-centered healthcare system in The Woodlands, TX. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in high-acuity environments and plays a critical role in supporting anesthesia care teams during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, supplies, and monitoring devices
  • Assist anesthesiologists with patient setup, including connecting monitors and supporting induction
  • Provide assistance with airway management, including intubation support and difficult airway scenarios
  • Support the placement of IVs, arterial lines, and central venous access
  • Anticipate provider needs during procedures, including invasive monitoring and emergency situations
  • Assist with neurophysiologic monitoring and intraoperative procedures
  • Perform blood salvage processing and support fluid/volume infusions as directed
  • Ensure all anesthesia equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with infection control standards
  • Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure efficient and safe patient care

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Anesthesia Technician (certification preferred)
  • Completion of an ASATT-approved Anesthesia Technician training program or equivalent experience
  • Pediatric experience required
  • Strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary anatomy, anesthesia equipment, and infection control practices
  • Experience with airway management equipment, pressure transducers, and IV fluid systems
  • Ability to respond quickly in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
