Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Elder Services Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations, programs and services provided to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's elderly population. The incumbent assists in the development, implementation and administration of department's policies and protocols, objectives and procedures, and also to devise and maintain strategies to increase efficiency, maintain quality, and ensure continuous improvement in order to meet the tribal elders and o disable community immediate needs. The Assistant Director assist with planning, directing, assigning and reviewing the work of subordinate staff. Bachelor's degree in Geriatrics, Recreation, Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in elderly services in a high level supervisory and administrative capacity; or an equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience may be considered. Possession of a valid Florida driver's license is required. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
