Job description

RiskOne HR Consulting is seeking a Director of Finance for one of our clients responsible for the overall financial management, accounting operations, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance functions.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and administer all financial operations of the hotel to include, but not limited to, asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, keeping financial records, budget and forecasting and department management
  • Responsible to keep accurate financial records and financial statements ensuring compliance with all Generally accepted Accounting Principle, (GAAP local and International Financial Reporting Standards, (IFRS) and uniform Systems of Accounts for the lodging industry.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance and a well-controlled environment aligned with standard policies and procedures.
  • Develops, analyzes and interprets statistical and accounting information and implements profitability and performance against budget
  • Monitor and approve sales, purchases, salaries and expenses
  • Monitors all contracts and agreements and advise management of the terms, conditions and benefits
  • Ensure all licenses, permits and insurance policies are current and in compliance with local, state and federal requirements.
  • Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecast.
  • Recruit, interview and train accounting team member
Requirements
  • Five years of finance related experience in similar position in the hospitality industry
  • Three to five years of experience in leadership role with experience in supervision
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administrations or related field.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, social security and local regulations.
  • Knowledge of insurance, employee benefits, claims and liability
  • Knowledge of business law, federal, state and local taxes as well as Department of Labor regulations
  • Advance level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create
  • Strong leadership, management and people skills
  • High Level of integrity and ethical judgment
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
